Ideal for providing a rich and decorative colour to gardens, ponds and water features, the plum slate is one of our best-selling paddlestones. As they are bigger and thicker than alternative slates and gravel, they are not suitable for walking on and so should not be placed on paths and driveways.
Features:
- Plum
- 850kg
- Fish-friendly
- Best laid 6cm
- Average size = 50-100mm
The plum paddlestones consist of rich purple / plum colours with hints of blue. They maintain their rich colour when wet and are suitable for rockeries, ponds and fountains.
Slate paddlestones are ideal for reducing water evaporation in and around planters while allowing plants and wildlife to remain permeable.
They go through a tumbling process to create smooth and rounded edges, giving it a softer feel than gravel or slate.
Best laid between 6cm thick, this product’s average size is between 50-100mm, though individual sizes may vary between 50-150mm.
This bulk bag contains 850kg.

Product Appearance
Many of our aggregate products are photographed when wet to display them as they will appear when removed from their bags. When delivered, there can be a light covering of dust on the aggregate which happens during the bagging process at the quarry. When the product has been laid in your garden/outdoor areas, we recommend using a garden hose to wash off any excess dust and dirt.

Due to delivery being made using large heavy vehicles (potentially weighing up to 44 tonnes), we require that you confirm that the area which you require the delivery to be to is flat, and that the ground is stable and able to handle the weight of the vehicle.
Please note that all products are delivered to the kerbside by a tail lift lorry, and our couriers are unable to deliver to a specific location on your property. All aggregates will require a signature upon delivery.
Due to the size and weight of the delivery lorry, we require that you confirm that the access to the delivery address is flat and stable enough to withstand the weight of the vehicle. We cannot deliver onto sloping ground, as the tail lift must be able to lay flat on the ground.
The road to access the delivery address must be suitable for access by a large lorry (usually wider and larger than a dustbin lorry.) If your access is restricted, please contact our office at the time of placing the order, as failed deliveries due to access issues may incur a re-delivery charge.
