- Stiffens pipe allowing it to be easily inserted into couplings
- Allows compression couplings to form a pressure-tight fit
A key part of plumbing MDPE or HDPE pipe together is the humble pipe liner. These liners aid in keeping sections of pipe rigid, which allows the compression fitting to pressure fit against the liner once it is tightened.
Plumbing the pipe together is easily done by people of any skill level. To affix lengths of pipe together, you will need a pipe liner of matching size and an MDPE compression coupling. Place the pipe liner inside the end of the pipe and then slot the pipe into the compression coupling. Tighten the blue-collar above the hose until you feel resistance and you are done!
