Our MDPE Elbow is perfect for adding 90-degree bends into MDPE or HDPE compression-fit pipe. The BSP threads on this fitting allow for a ball valve, tap or other attachments to be added.
Plumbing MDPE/HDPE pipe to our fittings is easily done by people of any skill level. You will need a length of MDPE or HDPE pipe, a pipe liner of matching size, and an MDPE compression coupling. Place the pipe liner inside the end of the pipe and then slot the pipe into the compression coupling. Tighten the blue-collar above the hose until you feel resistance and you are done!
Attaching BSP threaded attachments is just as simple, simply insert the fitting and screw until tight. If the fitting does not align correctly after being screwed in, we would recommend adding layers of PTFE or Teflon tape to the threads of the fitting until the alignment is corrected.
If you are planning on creating an outdoor tap or attaching BSP fittings, the thread size on the fitting matches the one on the above fitting.
