Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries are responsible for around 48% of all waste fires occurring in the UK each year, costing the UK economy some £158 million annually. This battery storage cabinet is ideal for storing lithium batteries as used in devices such as power tools. It is a sturdy unit made from non-flammable, fire resistant components with special fire protection seals which prevent escape of flames.

The entire cabinet is made of the double-walled steel construction with a core of 25mm heavy duty fireproof fibre-reinforced material that also thermally insulates the cabinet to prevent transfer of heat in the event of a fire.

It features a cold smoke-tight sealing system for openings and is equipped with a smoke detector and warning alarm in case of a fire. Also to keep the content inside safe and secure it has lockable double doors.

Please note: These cabinets are vastly different from single-walled steel cabinets, as they are manufactured to the standard EN 1363-1 and have been tested to withstand an internal fire for longer than 60 minutes.
