There has been at least 25,000 incidents of fire or overheating in lithium-ion batteries over a recent the last five years. This battery storage charging cabinet is not just ideal for storing and charging lithium batteries as used in devices such as power tools, it is a sturdy unit made from non-flammable, fire resistant components with special fire protection seals which prevent escape of flames.

The entire cabinet is made of the double-walled steel construction with a core of 25mm heavy duty fireproof fibre-reinforced material that also thermally insulates the cabinet to prevent transfer of heat in the event of a fire.

It features a cold smoke-tight sealing system for openings and is equipped with two smoke detectors and warning alarm in case of a fire.

It is also powered by a four-socket power strip (3500 W, 16A). Addition to that, all our charging cabinets are fitted with UK sockets and plugs.

This cabinet features lockable double doors to keep the content inside safe and secure.

There is also forklift access clearance (100 mm) for positioning and removal of cabinet in the event of an incident. The cabinets can be stacked on each other to save storage space.

Please note: These cabinets are vastly different from single-walled steel cabinets as they are manufactured to the standard EN 1363-1 and have been tested to withstand an internal fire for longer than 60 minutes.
