Designed for environments where there is a high risk of head injuries, this Mk®8 Evolution® safety helmet protects against side, front and rear impact. The ultra high-strength outer shell offers all-round protection with the ribbed upper section dissipating the force of impact.
Easily adjustable for a true ‘one size fits all’ fit, this safety workwear is ideal for use in industries such as demolition, heavy construction, refinery and petrochemical. It offers unparallel comfort through the terylene webbing which moulds to the individual wearer’s head. The lightweight vented EPS liner reduces the weight and subsequent stress on the neck, as well as optimise low angle impact performance.
This revolutionary product was the first industrial hard hat in the world to meet and exceed the far tougher head protection standard EN14052. EN14052 requires the helmet to withstand over 100 joules crown impact (compared to 49 joules under EN397) and for the first time to withstand side impact protection of 50 joules to an angle of up to 60 from vertical in a 360° radius around the shell.
EN14052 is specified into EN1789 as a mandatory requirement for each crew member for type B & C road ambulances.
