Rubbish Chute Top Hopper - Compatible with 560mm Rubbish Chutes

Our rubbish chutes provide a safe and easy way to remove any waste or excess materials from building or construction sites. 

This top hopper is used to help direct rubbish/rubble into a connecting rubbish chute. This minimises any overspill of waste or debris. It is fitted with a steel plate along with the opening which allows for waste to be tipped from wheelbarrows without damaging the hopper. 
 
The top hopper is manufactured from high-quality polyethylene plastic and is produced as a one-piece moulding. This material provides extremely strong and weather-resistant products that are resilient from abrasion and maintain rigidity in all conditions. The slight tapering of the hoppers ensures a comfortable fit when assembled with chutes, keeping dust to a minimum.

Connecting the top hopper to multiple chutes

The top hopper is designed to sit 100mm inside a 560mm diameter rubbish chute. The chute that the top hopper sits in would be connected to the scaffolding via the fixing bracket (available at additional cost). The height of the hopper can be adjusted using the fixing bracket.

When assembled, each chute also sits 100mm inside the next; meaning they have an 1100mm working length. It is also recommended that for every 10 metres of chutes, an extra fixing frame is required to ensure safety.
 
For example if you were working at the following heights;

• 10 metres = x10 chutes + x1 top hopper + x1 fixing bracket
• 20 metres = x20 chutes + x1 top hopper + x2 fixing brackets

When connected they become a flexible unit that provides a versatile chute system.
