Bar trolley and food trucks, what’s the difference?

You might look at our truck and trolley category and think that they’re all the same, but we’re here to set the record straight.

Each truck and trolley has been manufactured to be perfect for its required use. A bottle truck has been made to be perfect for storing bottles, and the mobile ingredient bins have been designed to be perfect for storing ingredients or food.

Let us shed some light on the trucks and trolleys that we sell here at Kingfisher.

Bar trucks

Our bar trucks are designed to make working life in bars, restaurants, and hotels easier by offering a solution to collecting empty bottles or moving ingredients and other difficult to carry items (like ice or laundry) around with ease.

The bar trucks we sell are made from a durable polyethylene that’s ideal for daily use. We also ensure we source UV resistant trucks; this means they’re less likely to be damaged by direct sunlight or UV light, making them perfect for weddings or other outdoor functions.

Bar trucks are split into recycled bar trucks and food grade bar trucks. The main difference between the two is that food grade trucks can be used to store food in them.

Recycled bar trucks

Our range of recycled bar trucks are manufactured using recycled polyethylene. By buying a truck from this range, you’re buying a sustainably made product that’s kinder to the environment.

They’re designed to be easily stacked when not in use, which is ideal for places with minimal storage space.

These trucks can’t be used to transport food or ingredients, as they aren’t food safe.

Product examples:

Food grade bar trucks

They’re designed to be used like recycled bar trucks, but the food grade trucks are food and ingredient safe. The reason for this is that when they’re manufactured, a food grade polyethylene is used on the truck.

Product examples:

Mobile ingredient trucks

Our range of mobile ingredient trucks are made from 100% food grade medium density polyethylene (MDPE).

They’re designed specifically for handling, transporting and storing bulk qualities of ingredients in catering facilities, food manufacturing, bakeries, cafés, bars, and restaurants.

The material used in manufacturing is easy to clean, making it ideal for use with food or ingredients.

Product example:

Order picking trucks

Considerably bigger than any other truck we sell, our order picking trucks are designed to aid warehouse workers with loading, unloading, storing and transporting goods in a warehouse.

They’re manufactured using polyethylene because it’s ideal for heavy-duty daily use in warehouses or factories.

Product example:

Cleaning trolleys

Designed for the specific task of cleaning and maintaining a work area. These cleaning trolleys can be used for waste collection and organising cleaning products, which makes them ideal for hotel housekeepers, janitors or bar cleaners.

Product example:

Bottle bins

Commonly found in bars, cafés, clubs, and restaurants. Bottle bins are used to store and transport full or empty bottles from storage to the bar, or the bar to recycling bins.

They’re ideal for use with bottles, as the bins are designed to be watertight, this means you can even fill them with ice to keep bottled drinks cold at outdoor functions and events.

Like bar trucks, you’ve the option of recycled bottle bins or food grade bottle bins. You can store food or ingredients in food grade bottle bins if you want to use them for an alternative use.

Product example:

Compact sack trucks

Compact sack trucks are ideal for use in small spaces in offices or schools. They’re easy to manoeuvre due to their telescopic handles and wheels – and they can be stored away easily when not in use.

Their compact design makes them small enough to store in a van or car, so they’re especially popular with trade workers. They don’t take up much space and don’t very weigh much.

Product example:

Sack trucks

Coming in all shapes and sizes, our sack truck range is sure to have something to meet your needs. Whether you work in an office, school or hospital, we’ve got the sack truck for you.

We’ve sack trucks (sometimes also called sack barrows), dollies and shelved trucks for all different jobs. Each product is manufactured to handle a specific capacity and is designed in a way best suited to do a job efficiently.
