1000 kg Technical Grade Calcium Chloride Flake 77-80%

The superior low temperature performance of our Technical Grade Calcium Chloride Flake makes it effective to temperatures of around -32°C. It is supplied in 100kg (1 Tonne) bags and offers a fast acting solution for de-icing roads and pathways as it begins to dissolve immediately upon application to break the bind between the surface and ice.

Calcium Chloride is a hygroscopic material that attracts moisture from its surroundings, quickly starting the de-icing with the formation of brine. The brine remains active for prolonged periods of time to prevent ice from bonding to the road/pavement.

It is also exothermic, meaning it releases heat when it reacts with water. This heats up the surrounding area upon contact and hastens the melting process.
